• Amazon workers represented by the Teamsters union approved the third strike approval against the company in less than a week. Executives had a sneaking suspicion something was up as the logos on employee uniforms went from erect, to fully horizontal, to limp.

• Walmart is testing body cameras for some front-line employees in Texas. Greeters are now on edge knowing they could get caught asking customers “please, show me how to text my daughter.”

• Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lost a secret ballot to become the House Oversight Committee’s top Democrat. She’s now on a mission to abolish the secret electoral college.

• In a guest essay for The New York Times, Pope Francis describes humor as a powerful instrument in overcoming the temptation toward narcissism. Francis further explains that by this definition of humor, Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast represents “some hellish limbo. And don’t even get me started on crowd work clips…”

Finally…

• The Democratic playbook to beat Republicans in 2 years is — work with them now. Fair to say they should’ve gone with plan A: elaborate plastic surgery to look exactly like their republican counterparts to confuse everyone.
