The Democratic National Convention starts today in Chicago and the Democrats have allotted five speaking slots to social media influencers — who will be asking America’s genzennials to vote, like, and subscribe.
The former president has tried to wrest attention from Harris with a media blitz that has included an interview with Elon Musk and calling into a New York drive-time radio show. Publicity stunts on Twitter and calling in to drive-time radio to boost interest? It’s hard to tell if this is prep for the presidency or an upcoming show at The Funny Bone.
The Burning Man festival is facing an unusual drop in demand. Attendees finally wizened up and realized the entire world is on fire for free.
In Georgia, a statue of the late congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis was installed in a space where a Confederate memorial once stood. The old monument was erected in 1908 by the Daughters of the Confederacy who never could’ve imagined it being replaced by Brother from Atlanta.
Finally…
A leaked Spotify deck shows how it’s pitching itself to advertisers. And its hard to tell if the fact that each slide only contains the words “Audio Slave” is in reference to the band or something more nefarious.
