Five Jokes: 8-21-2023
Lost Amazon Tribe, World Robot Conference, 'Blue Beetle' vs 'Barbie,' Republican Primary Debate, & Russian Moon Crash!
Hey! It’s Monday and while more cities and states are debating rent control, you should prepare to control your laughter with these Five Jokes!
Y’all hear about this?..
Brazil found the last survivors of an Amazon tribe. The nation is now faced with the unique challenge of figuring out how to explain what they owe in taxes.
At this years World Robot Conference, harvesting machines demonstrated how they could pick apples off the branch. Engineers say the next big step is convincing robots that it’s a fun idea to take a fall drive to an apple farm for group selfies.
'Blue Beetle' has ended 'Barbie's 4-weekend reign. Upon hearing the news, Ben Shapiro was instantly hospitalized. Those close to him say he fainted when faced with the choice of hating women so much that he’d rather watch a movie with a Latino lead, or the other way around.
Instead of attending the first Republican primary debate on Wednesday, Donald Trump will release a prerecorded conversation with Tucker Carlson. It’s said to be a test run for their new podcast, We’re Writing A Porno.
Finally…
Russia’s lunar lander crashed into the moon. And after months of being on the fence, Moon-people are finally in full support of Ukraine — promising to send them aid twelve hours a night.
DEEP DIVE: With both support from the Moon and Mark Hamill lending his ‘Star Wars’ voice to their air-raid app, Ukraine is on track to have all of space on its side. That is, except for Venus, which was deemed ‘Russian’ in 2020. When asked at the time about Russia’s interest in Venus, Vladimir Putin said, “Because it is where women are from. And I am a ladies man. You’ve seen the film with Tim Meadows, no? I am the inspiration. They call me ‘Ladies President,’ it’s true.” It’s false, but due to wanting to live, no one had the heart to tell him.

A JOKE FROM THE VAULT!
Some of the best jokes are silent. Here’s a slapstick moment from an old web series I made with Ian Abramson. Speaking of vaults — good luck finding the show on the internet!
