• Kamala Harris has formally accepted the Democratic presidential nomination — promising to bring normalcy and joy after the dangerous displays of egomania from, quote, “…that Australian lady at the Olympics.”

• Google’s AI ‘Reimagine’ tool makes it easy to add photo-realistic additions to images including wrecks, disasters, and corpses.

  

  Yet, somehow, when you try and add a wife, you just end up with The Babadook.

  

• The biggest diamond in over a century has been found in Botswana.

  

  Leaders worry it will inspire Lil Uzi Vert to install it as a replacement for his entire head.

  

Finally…

• The US National Institute of Standards and Technology is launching a series of contests to get more people probing for problems in generative AI systems. Contest players were selected after verification that their partners actually do look like The Babadook.
