A Louisiana law ordering the Ten Commandments appear in schools was ruled unconstitutional. Additionally, kindergarten teachers weren’t quite prepared to give their students the “covet thy neighbor’s wife” talk.
Pete Hegseth, a Fox News host and Army combat veteran, has been nominated by Donald Trump to serve as his secretary of defense — increasing the likeliness of wars having commercial breaks.
Singer John Mayer and filmmaker McG are closing in to buy the famed Jim Henson Studio lot and the Charlie Chaplin Studios at 1416 N. La Brea in Los Angeles. John Mayer is said to have been particularly impressed by the space, reportedly singing “This lobby is a wonderland” to himself as he entered the front doors.
Amazon is going to shut down Freevee, its free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service. The company hopes to get on the Trump administration’s good side with the change, stating “Freevee sounded too much like a corporate handout.”
Finally…
23andMe is ending its cancer research program and slashing over 200 jobs. The number of cuts explains a recent uptick in genetic results showing up as scrambled doodles with an arrow saying “You Are Here.”
