Hey! It’s Wednesday in America, and there’s an all new episode of You Are The Genre featuring my conversation with comedian and After Midnight writer !
You may recall her from her week of jokes in this very newsletter last year
And, speaking of jokes, HERE ARE FIVE OF THEM!

Y’all hear about this?..
Workers at NASA have been told to scrub key terms and mentions of groups from its website including indigenous people and women. Ironically, leaving nothing on the site except for the lyrics to Gil Scott-Heron‘a “Whitey On The Moon.”
The UK Government may force broadcasters to regularly fund a new anti-bullying reporting body. However, broadcasters are concerned over the potential technicality that advertisements are just an expensive form of bullying in the first place. “If we can’t have ads that say ‘Hey, maybe your face is the problem’ how will we ever make money?!”
America’s threats of punishing new tariffs are sparking a “race to the border” for US manufacturing businesses. Meanwhile, the White House is narrowing down the criteria for avocado imports to insure that none of them are what is now officially dubbed “murdercados.”
The price of eggs is expected to increase by 20% in 2025. By 2026, we’ll settle for rooster sperm.
Finally…
The acting F.B.I. director, Brian Driscoll, received his role through a White House website error and has become the subject of memes for resisting the Trump administration’s changes. The situation makes Driscoll the most famous WAWW hire in American history. WAWW, of course, stands for Website Accident While White. Ironically, something co-presidents Musk and Trump are quite fond of.

The exception to the new British rule is the BBC, which is entirely funded by the government, although that means they will be bullying into running the ads, anyway.
