Hey, happy Tuesday. Here are Five Jokes!
Y’all hear about this?..
Job applicants are battling AI resume filters by using white font to hide key words. They’re calling it “white fonting,” which certainly beats my current method — “white facing.”
The I.R.S. will stop surprise visits to homes and businesses after a rise in threats to agents. According to agents, the threats escalated during surprise visits into their own apartments.
A radio signal in space has been repeating every 21 minutes for 30 years and scientists don't know why. A chime every 21 minutes? That’s clearly the universe’s mother calling. Give us some space, Mom! Okay, sure we already are space, but — stop correcting us so much!
Then again, 30 years is a long time to avoid someone’s call. Just saying… If I were dating the universe, I’d be suspicious. Might want to check its vortext messages.
I joked about Twitter changing it’s brand to “X” yesterday, but the plot thickens… as it turns out Meta and Microsoft both own trademarks to similar “X” symbols. Silicon Valley truly ruins everything, doesn’t it? Back in my day “triple-X” meant pornography. Now it’s a legal battle.
Of course, if this does wind up in court, Elon Musk has given us a glimpse into what he’ll say on the witness stand —
Speaking of court cases…
A Tennessee student suspended over Instagram memes about his principal is now suing his school district and officials. I love this, and honestly hope the judge decides to televise “Dank Memes v. Adults Still Trying To Figure Out What Threads Is.”
