• In a multiyear, multibillion-dollar effort to position itself at the forefront of connected hardware, Meta is going all in on computers for your face. Speaking to a crowd while wearing his patented face-puter glasses, Mark Zuckerberg assured skeptics that Meta would one track 10% of the butts users look down at while walking down the street.

  

• Eric Adams is the first sitting mayor in New York City history to face criminal charges. Though the exact charges are still under wraps, its safe to assume at least one of them is for an unpaid buffet bill at the strip club.

• A zoo in Finland is returning pandas to China because they're too expensive to keep — prompting the nation to reconsider shipping the animals with “Made In China” stickers.

• Someone Zoom called a U.S. senator impersonating a top Ukrainian official, seemingly using deepfake technology. However, the deepfake was totally unaware that they were talking to a Bozo The Clown balloon in the shower moving around to pre-taped audio.

  

Finally…

• A black hole is spitting the biggest lightning bolt ever seen — a cosmic jet of energy so long that the Milky Way is a dot in comparison. Surprisingly, that’s an actual fact and not Donald Trump’s improvised answer to a question about tariffs.
